CAMPS

When school is out, have your creative tween join us for a day, or week, filled with crafting, socializing, and adventuring! With the kids as our architects, we will have plenty to do and explore, all while problem-solving our way to new opportunities.

During Camps, Questers will immerse themselves in experimental play and have the opportunity to work with new technology and mediums (3D printing, Cricut cutting machines, sewing machines, photo/video production and editing, hand-crafting), all while strengthening their understanding of creative problem solving, flexible thinking, and resilience.

Tweens will work together to create their ideal schedule for the day, plan field trips and group activities for the week, and dive into larger project plans, while allowing them to make the individual choices that work for them.

  • All Side Quest Social Club activities are tailored to tweens aged 9-13 years old. If your child is outside of that range, please email to discuss before purchasing.

    Address:3411 W North Ave, Chicago, IL, 60647
We are located on the South side of North Ave, just west of Kimball. The Side Quest logo is on the door, but it is under the awning that says “Nevermore Performance Space”. The door will remain locked at all times. Please ring the doorbell located above the door handle, and I will let you in and get your child checked-in for the day.

Parking: There is a 30-minute Standing Zone on North Ave, just west of our front door. Feel free to utilize that with flashing lights for drop-off or pick-up.

    Day Camp Hours:8am-3pm
Please do not drop-off before 7:45 or pick-up later than 3:15 unless you are enrolled in after-care. Morning drop-off is very flexible as we want to accommodate all schedules, but if you have a late-riser, no worries! We typically have our morning meeting around 10am to make sure everyone participates in planning the day.

    After-Care Hours:3-6pm
Please do not pick-up after 6pm.

Child Release: Please note that we will not release your child to someone who is not listed on the Registration Form. We will ask to see a form of identification before releasing to verify the names on file.

What to Pack: Being prepared for a day at Side Quest means bringing along lunch, any food/snacks you may need, and a water bottle. Seasoned Questers also know that sometimes our days lead to field trips or exploring the neighborhood. So, seasonally appropriate outdoor clothing items, as well as a little pocket money is optional, but always helpful.

What to Leave at Home: Personal technology devices (cell phones, tablets, iPads, smart watches, etc.) If devices are brought to Side Quest, they will remain in your child’s locker during their time at Side Quest (including after-care).

  • A few days before your camp begins, you will receive an email with any pertinent information for the group, including any allergies for the time we are together.

  • If you need to cancel for any reason, please let me know. I will try my best to get your kiddo(s) into another day camp if something comes up! Our club is intentionally small to provide the best experience, but that also means, we have a little wiggle-room when it comes to shifting schedules around to accommodate last-minute life-happenings.

If you must cancel, our cancellation policy is as follows:
    - More than four weeks: 90% refundable (covers our administrative fees)
    - Between four and two weeks: 50% refundable
    - Less than two weeks: Non-refundable

Each day, camp with start with a discussion about rules and expectations, and Questers will be trained and certified before using any machinery.

With a smaller group size (limit around 15 kids), Questers are able to structure their day around what they want to do, not what a schedule or adults tells them to do.
